Photography gear

Switching over to shooting only high-resolution digital images is a costly investment, both time and money wise, but the direct benefits from day one have more than justified my decision to change over. Having now worked with digital gear for some time, and having put my equipment through hell, I can safely say that Canon photography equipment is as good and as tough as it comes. From nearly drowning cameras and lenses in warm Zambezi waters, to working on anything from remote flats right through to pitching, rolling boats, and basically being around all forms of water virtually all the time, not one single item has let me down yet. I demand a hell of a lot from my camera equipment and the last thing I need is for my gear to go down when I am working sometimes many miles from civilisation and often in very harsh conditions.

There is nothing more important though than the quality of the final image, and with professional Canon digital photographic equipment I know that I am giving the highest quality photographs I possibly can to all my clients.

This is the camera gear I use for all my work :
  • Canon 1D MK11 cameras
  • Canon 16-35 f2.8L lens
  • Canon 24-70 f2.8L lens
  • Canon 70-200 f.2.8L IS USM lens
  • Canon 300mm f4L IS USM lens
  • Canon 70-200 f4L IS USM lens
  • Canon 15mm f2.8 fisheye lens
  • Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro USM lens
  • Canon 1.4 extender
  • Manfrotto tripod and monopod
  • Lowepro camera bags, and especially the DryZone 200 and Rover models
(is there anything better for taking photo gear around the world ?)
  • Sandisk and i-Pro compact flash cards
  • Hoya polarising filters
